The canonry chapter of 2024 took place from February 27th to February 29^th at St. Norbert Abbey, Jamtara, Jabalpur (M.P) INDIA. This year was particularly special as it marked the jubilee celebration of the Norbertine presence in India. The chapter was imbued with a jubilant spirit to commemorate this milestone. Notably, it was a significant occasion as the canonry gathered to elect a new Abbot.

The event was honored by the presence of our Abbot General, Rt. Rev. Jos Wouters. Commencing the chapter was a reflective session led by Fr. Jose Mathew SDB. A total of 82 final professed members actively participated in the proceedings.

After careful deliberation, the chapter elected Fr. Arul Amalraj O.Praem as their new leader, entrusting him with the responsibility to guide the canonry to greater heights. The chapter infused renewed enthusiasm in all participants, urging them to return to their ministries with vigor and dedication.
